Public seminars for summer term 2014

Two master classes on Freud

led by Mr. Ken Robinson.

Saturday 26th April    Freud the man and the clinician                The Rat Man case

Saturday 10th May     Freud’s metapsychology revisited              The Wolf man case

Mr. Robinson is a psychoanalyst in private practice in Newcastle upon Tyne, a member of the British Psychoanalytical Society and its honorary archivist. He is a training analyst for child and adolescent and adult psychotherapy in the north of England and in Scotland and lectures, teaches and supervises in the UK and in Europe.

The day will be longer than usual to enable participants to share clinical material relevant to the subject. The charge for non-members of WMIP is £50 per day. CPD certificates are available on request.

The master classes take place at the Postgraduate Education Centre, Dudley Road Hospital, Birmingham B18 7QH from 11.00 – 4.00.

Seminar List SUMMER 2014C

Pornography, voyeurism and fear of the internal world: seminar by Mr. David Morgan on 15th March 2014

Mr. Morgan is a training analyst and supervisor with the British Psychoanalytic Association and is a Fellow of the British Psychoanalytic Society. He is the editor of”Violence, perversion and delinquency”, published by Karnac Books in 2007.

His seminar is entitled: “Knowing without being known. Seeing without being seen. Pornography, Voyeurism and the fear of the internal world”.

The seminar will be at the Postgraduate Education Centre, City Hospital, Dudley Road, Birmingham B18 7QH on Saturday 15th March. It will run from 11.00 – 2.30 with a break for lunch. Non-members of WMIP are welcome to attend at a charge of £40.
